Bhopal: The havoc of corona is increasing rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. Today is the birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, which state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted to pay homage to. Recently, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted and in that tweet, he wrote, "I bow to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, who won the Nobel Prize for composing the national anthem, 'Gitanjali' to the country. Rabindranath Tagore is an exceptionally creative artist of modern India.''

Rabindranath Tagore, India's first Nobel winner, was born on 7th May 1861, in Kolkata. He was also a poet, writer, playwright, musician, philosopher, social reformer, and painter. In 1913, Tagore became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in literature and the second non-European after Theodore Roosevelt.

Rabindranath Tagore's award was given for his poetry collection Gitanjali, his best collection of poetry. Tagore was honoured with the Nobel Prize for his profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful poetry.
