Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh CM and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled the dream of Mahatma Gandhi by enacting a law. After the partition of the country, in September 1947, the Father of the Nation had said that if Hindus, Sikhs and other minorities living in Pakistan do not want to live there, they can come to India. It is the duty of the Government of India to assist them.

Shivraj Singh said that PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have made this dream of Bapu come true by enacting Citizenship Amendment Act. He was addressing a rally organized in Tirupati in support of CAA. Former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan also said that some political parties are doing the work of burning the country for their personal interests. He said that the Citizenship Amendment Act is not against anyone.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan further said that the BJP is running a public awareness program to tell the truth of this act. Former CM Chouhan has said that to clear up the confusion on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the BJP will go from house to house to raise public awareness. He said that the way people in Tirupati came forward in support of this, it is clear that this fog will soon be removed.
