Mumbai: The Shiv Sena has attacked the BJP over the timing of announcing the trust for the construction of the Ram temple, saying that there was no hope of politics on this issue, but its "foundation" had been laid just before the Delhi Assembly elections. Let us tell you that voting is to be held on February 8 on 70 assembly seats in Delhi and results will be released after counting of votes on February 11.
PM Narendra Modi announced the formation of a 15-member trust for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. The Shiv Sena said in an editorial in its mouthpiece 'Saamana' on Thursday that, PM Modi gave the slogan of "Jai Shri Ram" just four days before the Delhi Assembly elections. With the help of Shri Ram, if two to four seats are increased, then you will be happy. It said that it was expected that politics would not be done on the Ram temple issue, but its "foundation" has been laid just before the Delhi Assembly elections and it will be completed on the occasion of 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
A Marathi newspaper has said that it is being criticized that the BJP resorted to Lord Ram because of Aam Aadmi Party President Arvind Kejriwal making the saffron party restless before the Delhi Assembly elections. It says that such (criticism) is because just four days before the election, PM Modi has announced the formation of the trust.
