Mumbai: In Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana, Sanjay Raut has put Bollywood actors like Akshay Kumar in the dock to silence the objectionable statements made by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut about Mumbai. The Shiv Sena leader has questioned why these stars did not come forward to protest Kangana's statement that Mumbai is PoK. The Shiv Sena questioned whether Mumbai was only for them to earn money.

Pointing to the Mumbai-based film industry, he has written that half of the people of the film industry should have come forward in support of Mumbai regarding Kangana's statements. Raut wrote that when Kangana compared Mumbai to PoK, a person like Akshay Kumar should have spoken. Sanjay Raut hoped that at least the people of the film world should have come forward and said that Kangana's view did not belong to the film industry. He wrote that "All these should keep in mind that one 'Thackeray' has the command of Maharashtra."

Saamana states that Mumbai has given everything to the film stars. Mumbai has settled everyone, but many people have problems in expressing gratitude for Mumbai. The houses of the nobles of the whole world are in Mumbai, but when they are insulted by Mumbai, all of them sit with their heads bowed. Raut also wrote that Kangana addressed CM Uddhav Thackeray as 'Tujhe'. The Shiv Sena claimed that the 'natives of Mumbai are in support of him.
