Kolkata: The winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google contest was revealed by Google on Monday. Kolkata-based Shlok Mukherjee was named the winner for India this year for his inspirational doodle "India on the Center Stage". The doodle of the poem will also be shown on Google.co.in (Monday) on 14th November.

Shlok posted his doodle, writing, "My country, India, will see scientists make their own eco-friendly robots in the next 25 years for the benefit of humanity.

India will often travel among the stars departing from the earth. In the years to come, India will be strong in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda and will keep moving forward."

This year's contest on the theme "In the next 25 years, this will be my India", received over 115,000 entries from children in classes 1 to 10 from over 100 cities across India.

Along with the Google Doodle team, the judging panel also included actor, filmmaker, producer and TV personality Neena Gupta, Editor-in-Chief of Tinkle Comics Kuriakose Vassian, YouTube creator Slaypoint and artist and businesswoman Alika Bhatt.

The Google Doodle page said, "We were amazed by the imagination and creativity students brought to their entries, and we were particularly encouraged that the advancement of technology and sustainability emerge as common themes in many of the Doodles.

Together, they were tasked with selecting 20 finalists from entries submitted from across the country, based on their artistic quality, creativity, adherence to the contest's theme, and originality and innovation of methodology.

Online voting was made available for the 20 finalists' doodles. Apart from the national winner, 4 group winners were selected. Through the Doodle for Google competition, emphasis has been laid on the creativity and imagination of the youth.
