Thane: A big shocking news has come from Thane near Mumbai recently. In fact, a woman has been given the vaccine thrice at a time. The case is said to be of Anand Nagar Vaccination Centre in Thane Municipal Corporation. A 28-year-old woman who went there to get the vaccine was given three doses of the vaccine at the same time. The condition of the woman is now said to be stable. According to reports, the woman has now been kept under the supervision of a doctor. In view of the case, the BJP has demanded strict action against such negligent employees of the municipal hospital.

On the other hand, the municipal administration has said that a committee has been constituted in response and an inquiry will be initiated. A woman living in the nearby Bramhad area came to an Anandnagar Health Centre on Ghorbandar Road in Thane on June 25, afternoon to get the vaccine. At the same health centre, the staff present at the same health centre gave the woman three doses of the vaccine simultaneously. The woman panicked after receiving three doses at the same time and somehow went to her house.

The woman then told her husband about three doses of the vaccine. This reached the local corporator from somewhere and when the corporator questioned the officials of the concerned health centre, he did not get a satisfactory answer from there. Now, in view of the whole issue, the BJP is trying to shake off the responsibility and negligence of the municipal authorities and doctors. It remains to be seen what steps Thane Municipal Commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma takes on the incident.
