A piece of bad news has come from the Bollywood industry at the end of the year. In fact, actor and noted comedian Mushtaq Merchant has passed away. Mushtaq has bid farewell to this world at the age of 67. He is said to have been suffering from diabetes for a long time. Mushtaq breathed his last at Holy Family Hospital in Mumbai. Mushtaq, however, bid farewell to the world of cinema many years ago and lived in Bandra in Mumbai.
Fans have been in a state of shock since the news of his demise surfaced today. Fans are now paying tribute to the late actor on social media remembering him. Late actor Mushtaq won the hearts of the people by his performances in films like 'Sita Aur Geeta,' 'Haath Ki Safai,' 'Jawani Deewani,' 'Sholay,' and 'Saagar.' Not only that but Mushtaq played not one but two characters in Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra starrer Sholay. Mushtaq played one train driver and the other in the famous song 'Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Tonge' from the film. According to some media reports, Mushtaq won the Best Actor award at the All India Inter College in Mumbai.
At the same time, he has received an award for Best Writer and Director for three years. It is also said that Mushtaq wrote screenplays of some films like Pyaar Ka Saaya, Laat Saab, Sapna Saajan Ke Aur Gang along with acting. Also, tell you all that Mushtaq was not active in the cinematic world for a long time.
