Apple, based in Cupertino, does not have many smart home goods on the market. When it comes to smart home solutions, the firm has the smallest market share compared to competitors like Amazon and Google, which control the bulk of the industry. However, Apple had previously been rumoured to be bringing a 15-inch iPad to market, which, as Bloomberg's Mark Gurman points out in his new piece, maybe the ideal Hub for a smart home setup.

Gurman says that Amazon's Echo Show, which has a 15-inch display, is an appealing gadget for monitoring the weather, operating a smart home appliance, watching surveillance footage, and other similar tasks. He believes that a bi touchscreen is an excellent platform for OEMs and developers to use as a smart home device if they wish to do so. According to Bloomberg, the Amazon Echo Show 15's speakers and microphone deliver an excellent experience for all types of use, including Alexa commands, watching videos, listening to music, and more.

With this, Gurman believes it is time for Apple to release the huge 15-inch iPad and work towards enabling users to use it as a smart home hub. Gurman also believes that Apple might create a far superior 15-inch smart home hub, given the Amazon Echo Show 15 has flaws such as a heavy design, slow and restricted software, and a poor camera.

Apple may make the gadget thicker to accommodate larger speakers and move the camera to a landscape-first configuration, he stated at the time. According to Gurman, if the 15-inch iPad with smart home features becomes a reality, it "will immediately have an edge over Amazon in software."

"The best part is that the device can be used as a conventional iPad or as a laptop replacement that consumers can carry with them wherever they go," he added. There are, however, two key cautions. First and foremost, like with other Apple products, a 15-inch iPad Pro will be costly. In India, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 99,900, so a 15-inch model will be significantly more expensive. Second, the effort will be done to improve Siri's ability to understand users, tap into third-party services, and conduct requested actions.
