Aftab's friend told the police that Aftab's behavior never made it seem that his state of mind was ominous.
At the same time, she told the police that her conversation with Aftab started in May through the Bumble app and she first went to Aftab's flat on October 12, Aftab had called her to his Chhatarpur flat and the two had spent time together at the flat. Further, this friend of Aftab told that Aftab's nature seemed her to be absolutely normal and very caring. Aftab had a collection of deodorants and perfumes of many varieties and often he used to give perfume gifts to his new girlfriend.
She said that she had come to Aftab's flat twice in the month of October but she did not get a slight idea of Shraddha's murder or body parts in the house. Aftab was never seen scared, he often told about his Mumbai home and when he went to Mumbai in September, he used to tell about there too. Aftab had gifted his friend a fancy ring that was not gold but artificial.
