In the meeting of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Central Board of Governors at the Magh Mela on Monday, the saints passed a resolution demanding handing over of the Ram temple to Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas. In this, the decision regarding the date of construction of the temple in Ayodhya was deferred. The VHP central officials and saints in the guiding board decided that the date would be announced after the formation of the temple construction trust. Many more decisions were taken.

According to the media report, in the two-session meeting, the first session started with a blazing lamp in front of Lord Ram's picture at 10.30 am. Presided over by Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati. Both the sessions were conducted by Jeeveshwar Mishra, the VHP's central vice-president and the convenor of the guide board.
