Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds’ popular romantic comedy The Proposal is being remade in Tamil with Vemal and Shriya Saran playing the lead roles. Directed by Madhesh, the film has actor Vemal in the lead role. This is the first film that has Shriya Saran and Vemal paired together.

According to sources, Shriya had signed this film a while ago, and the first schedule got over two months ago in London. The film is based on the Malayalam film called My Boss, which was inspired by Sandra Bullock-Ryan Reynolds's Hollywood hit The Proposal. The shoot of the film has already begun.
Though it’s not clear whether Madhesh got the official remake rights, the story of Sandakaari is based on The Proposal, it is learnt.
The shoot happened in London about two months ago. After completing the shoot, Shriya flew back to Russia to be with her husband. The actress is currently flooding her Instagram profiles with pictures from her trips. The next schedule will mostly begin from next month, and Shriya had gone back to Russia from London to be with her husband, Andrei Koscheev, it is said.
