Nowadays Shruti is making headlines for her personal life. Shruti recently revealed that she was happy with the divorce of her father Kamal Haasan and mother Sarika. Kamal Haasan and Sarika had decided to separate after 16 years of marriage.

Kamal and Sarika tied the knot in 1988 and the two got divorced in 2004. They have two daughters Shruti and Akshara. Shruti was a teenager when her parents divorced. Shruti has now spoken about her parents' divorce. She said she was happy that the two were parting ways. In an interview, Shruti said that 'I was excited for both of them that they were both going to separate. They are still excellent parents. I am very close to my father. My mother is also doing well and is a part of our lives. They are both excellent and very good human beings'.

The actress further said that they are not together does not mean that he is not a good person. They were extremely happy when they separated. In another interview, shruti had said about her economic situation that she would not lie. She added, 'When the shoot starts I have to go out for the shoot as well as complete my second commitment'.
