Kolkata: West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Suvendu Adhikari and he had a 45-minute meeting in Amit Shah's room in Parliament House. After the meeting, Suvendu Adhikari told the media that the information that I had in the case of Partha Chatterjee, I have shared it with the Home Minister. During his meeting with Amit Shah, Suvendu handed over a list of 100 such names to him, who work with Partha Chatterjee in Bengal to raise money for the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

At the same time, BJP leader Suvendu told Amit Shah that strictest action should be taken against those 100 Trinamool leaders. During the meeting, Suvendu Adhikari demanded from the Home Minister that more than one lakh unemployed people have been extorted money and the future of crores of students has been ruined. Therefore, no one involved in this corruption should be spared. At the same time, Suvendu Adhikari has told Amit Shah that after the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) by both the Houses, its rules should be made at the earliest and it should be implemented in Bengal at the earliest.

According to sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured Suvendu Adhikari that the work on implementing CAA will be speeded up immediately after the third dose of corona is received by everyone. At the same time, Suvendu Adhikari is scheduled to hold a meeting with former Bengal BJP unit president Dilip Ghosh this evening. The two will meet to deliberate on the strategy to launch an agitation across Bengal in the issue of corruption in the Mamata Banerjee government.
