Bengaluru, On Friday with complaints of mild fever and pain in the abdomen, Tumakuru’s Siddaganga mutt seer Shivakumara Swami has been admitted to BGS Global Hospitals in the city.

His condition is stable now, said doctor.

N.K. Venkataramana, chief neurosurgeon, said, “We are conducting blood tests and a chest X-ray to investigate his fever. He is doing fine. In fact, he walked into the hospital on his own; he wasn’t wheeled in”.

When a team of doctors led by Dr. Venkataramana get to know that Seer is not well, they rushed to Tumakuru.

According to the doctor, “When we suggested a comprehensive health check-up, he was very reluctant to come to the hospital. It was only after a lot of persuasion that he agreed to it, and we brought him here”.

On Saturday, he will undergo a cardiac and renal evaluation and is likely to be discharged by evening, said doctors.

BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the seer in hospital.
