Sidharth  Malhotra is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. In the recent interview, Sidharth expresses his fondness towards Alia’s pet Edward. This has made many think that he had gifted the cat to Alia.  The duo made their debut together in Bollywood with Karan Johar's Student of the Year (2012). As per some report, they also dated each other for some time.

In a recent interview when Sidharth Malhotra was asked what did he learn from his past relationship. He said, "I think I learned from my last relationship-- don't gift pets." He was further asked what he wants to steal from Alia. He said, "The cat- Edward." Many commented that he had gifted the cat and that is why he is so fond of the cat.

In Koffee with Karan when Sidharth was asked about Alia. He said, "I don't think it's bitter. We haven’t really met after it. It's civil. It’s been a while. I have known her for much longer even before we dated. I have given my first-ever shot with her in SOTY. There is so much history."

On the personal front, Sidharth and Alia reportedly dated each other around the time they appeared in Kapoor & Sons (2016). They never officially confirmed their relationship. Recently, when Sidharth appeared on Koffee With Karan 7, he was asked to name one thing that he missed about his ex, and he said 'her cat.'

On the professional, he is all set for his upcoming film Thank God. It is a T-Series Films & Maruti International production, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit and Markand Adhikari and co-produced by Yash Shah. The film is all set to release around Diwali on October 25 this year.
