Sidharth recently opens up on the Box office clash with Akshay Kumar’s film. He said, “I feel Diwali is such a period that historically multiple films have come. I think that’s the period when people want to enjoy movies and come. So, I don’t really feel that it’s something would hamper or take away from any other film. Ram Setu is Akshay Kumar’s film and we wish him all the luck. It’s all upto the audience.”
Further speaking about Thank God he said, “It’s such a relatable story. The first script that I feel that I, you know, I heard from start to finish, I knew that time it made me laugh and it has a wonderful message by the end. And I knew director Indra Kumar. As I myself have a grip on comedy which I have not completely dive into may be. I am looking forward to this Diwali that people get to see Thank God.”
Earlier An FIR has been filed by advocate Himanshu Srivastava in Jaunpur and his petition says, "Chitragupta is regarded as the Lord of Karma and keeps a record of a man's good and bad deeds. Such depiction of Gods can create an unpleasant situation since it hurts religious sentiments." The complaint also claimed that Thank God is an attempt to “spread hatred and humiliation”. In order to “earn profit and increase TRP, objectionable scenes have been filmed, which adversely affected communal harmony."
About the movie, Thank God is a T-Series Films & Maruti International production, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit and Markand Adhikari and co-produced by Yash Shah.
