New Delhi: Two Corona vaccines have been approved in the country. Both the Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech, which manufacture the vaccine, have started a series of statements. Adar Poonawala, the head of Serum Institute of India (SII), has informed in a tweet on Tuesday that a joint statement will be issued soon regarding the dispute with Bharat Biotech.
Adar Poonawala had recently questioned Bharat Biotech's covaxin and objected to its approval. After which Bharat Biotech did a strong comment on the biofilms of Oxford-Serum. This is the reason that both the vaccine manufacturers of the country were seen getting entangled. Now on Tuesday, Adar Poonawala wrote in tweeting, 'I want to clarify two things, first, that the vaccine can be exported to any country. Secondly, a joint statement will be issued on whatever misunderstanding has happened in the past on Bharat Biotech.'
On one hand, the country is expressing happiness over the success of both vaccine manufacturers, on the other hand, both companies have been embroiled in a period of rhetoric. Adar Poonawala of the Serum Institute recently said in an interview, "So far, only Pfizer, Moderna and Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine have proven efficacy and all other vaccines are safe like water only."
