SIT formed to probe Anees Khan murder case, Mamata Banerjee seeks probe report in 15 days

Kolkata: The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal has constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by the Chief Secretary to probe the suspicious death of Anees Khan. The SIT has been asked to complete the probe in 15 days and submit a report to CM Mamata Banerjee. CM Mamata Banerjee has given information in this regard while addressing a press conference in Nabanna today.

Along with this, a message has been sent to Anees' family from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today that she wants to meet him. On Monday morning, a DSP rank officer and his team had gone to Amta, Howrah to meet his family to investigate the mysterious death of Anees Khan. Here, Anish Khan's father Salem Khan told him, "They can investigate the matter if they want. But the family demands a CBI probe into the matter.

The mysterious death of student leader Anees Khan has shocked the entire state,  after 28-year-old Anees Khan was thrown from the roof by unidentified persons in Amta area of Howrah late on Friday night.
