Lucknow: Steamers of Sevata MLA Gyan Tiwari and SDM Biswan Suresh Kumar, who are going to provide relief material to the flood victims of Andhpur and Gosaipur, located on the central island of Sharda river of Uttar Pradesh, fell victim to the accident on Monday. The steamer started uncontrollably from the sharp edge of the river.

Along with MLA and SDM riding on the same steamer, Tahsildar Rajkumar Gupta, MLA representative Om Prakash Mishra were tied up. All started trembling with fear. Seeing this, the MLA started reciting Hanuman Chalisa along with chanting Jai Shri Ram. Meanwhile, the steamer stopped hitting the sand dunes in the river. Everyone was surprised to see the steamers getting filled with the water.

However, after hitting the sand dunes, the steamer survived the turn. Immediately the PAC divers were called, and after a lot of hard work, they rescued everyone from the river's mainstream. The steamer was called after the engine of one steamer malfunctioned. The MLA had gone to distribute relief material to the flood victims. Listened to their problems, and assured early disposal. He said that after getting the information, I have come here by taking the risk. Right now the relief material has been distributed.
