Raipur: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare honored six government hospitals in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate. These hospitals were recognized for their exceptional patient care and healthcare delivery. Among the awarded healthcare centers, four are primary health centers and two are community health centers.
The Udaipur Community Health Centre in Surguja district, the Bagbahara Community Health Centre in Mahasamund, and the Jarve Primary Health Centre in Janjgir-Champa district received the NQAS certificates. Additionally, the Kumharawand Primary Health Centre in Bastar, the Bataikela Primary Health Centre in Surguja, and the Bagodar Primary Health Centre in Kanker were also honored with the NQAS certificates.
The assessment of these hospitals was conducted by experts from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare between April and June. The evaluation process focused on various parameters to assess the quality of services provided to patients, including patient care, services availability, patient rights, support services, clinical services, infection control, quality management, and outcomes.
Based on the evaluation scores, the Udaipur CHC received 87%, Bagbahra CHC received 85%, Jarve PHC received 82%, Bagodar PHC received 80%, Bataikela PHC received 76%, and Kumharawand PHC received 75%.
These hospitals underwent a thorough evaluation by expert teams before receiving the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate. Only those hospitals that met the rigorous standards set by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare were granted the quality certificates.
