PATNA: A 13-year-old minor girl was gang-raped by six persons for four days in Patna, an official said on Monday.
The accused abducted the girl from Buxar, took her to Patna, confined her in a room for four days, and then committed gang rape on her. Finally, the defendant fled after leaving her at the Dumraon railway station in the Buxar district. Two people were taken into custody by the Buxar police, while a search was ongoing for the other four.
The incident happened on August 16 when the victim went outside her house to purchase copies in a village under the jurisdiction of Murar police station in the Buxar district.
Four persons abducted her and took her to a home near Patna. The two other defendants lived there while the residence was rented out. She was raped for four days by all six defendants.
The girl was absent from the house, so her parents first looked everywhere for her before filing a missing person report with the Murar police station on August 19. Then, a police investigation was launched.
Reportedly, the accused sexually brutalized her repeatedly for 4 days, her health condition deteriorated. The accused then took her in a private vehicle and left her abandoned at the Dumraon railway station. On the evening of August 20, the victim managed to get into the home. Later, she gave the names of the four suspects when she went to the police station.
"Two people, Shivam Singh and Sachin Singh, have been taken into custody. Now that the other suspects have also been named. Raids are underway to capture them soon " said investigating officer R.S. Yadav of the Murar police station.
