Hyderabad: A major road accident has been reported from Telangana. According to the news, a car fell in the canal attached to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, in which six people were riding. All the people in the car are said to be missing. Police and local fishermen have started rescue operations following the disappearance of six people. According to the local SP, on the night of 18 October, six persons were returning to Hyderabad after attending a wedding ceremony in the Kodad area in a Scorpio car.

On reaching Nadiagudem mandal, Chakirala village in Suryapet district, the car driver lost control and fell into a canal which is connected to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. SP Bhaskaran said that due to high water flow, the car started flowing, all the six occupants are still missing. We have started rescue operations with the help of local fishermen. The six missing persons have been identified as Abdul Aziz, 45 years old, Rajesh, 29 years old, Jimson, 33 years old, Santosh Kumar, 23 years old, Nagesh, 35 years old and Pawan Kumar, 23 years old.

They all worked in a private hospital in AS Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. The police officer said that the NDRF has also been informed of the situation. Upon receipt of the accident, family members of the missing persons have reached the spot and asked the authorities to expedite the rescue efforts. The NDRF team is still there and searching for the missing people.
