After consuming a mid day meal in the government schools of Doda, Jammu and Kashmir six students from those schools have been admitted in the district hospital for food poisoning on June 15. 

Around thirty students of Government Middle School Bakhna Mahalla were affected but six of them remained critical. 

According to student who admitted in the Hospital, "While we were eating our meal of rice and dal, the dal smelled. When we were about to throw the food, sir said that don't throw it away, eat it. So, we ate the meal. After half an hour, when we sat inside, we almost fainted, then they got glucose and made me drink it". 

The parents of the students expressed concern over the quality of mid-day meals served to the students in rural areas.
