Hyderabad: Recently a big news has come. In this academic year, 16 engineering colleges are being prepared to close in the state. By doing this, about 4 thousand seats can be eliminated. 201 engineering colleges have sent applications for permission to the All India Board of Technical Education (AICTE). 16 colleges have given reference applications for closure.

If this happens, about 4 thousand seats can be eliminated in the first year itself. It was told about this matter that information has not come out of Telangana for not taking large-scale entry for the last four years. It was said about permission to enter in all the branches of last year within 70. Exactly the same situation was seen in the year before that due to which applications were made to close the college.

According to the information recently received, there is also no possibility to give recognition to the respective colleges in this academic year. The AICTE had instructed that for less than 30% admission for three consecutive years, only half the seats will be allowed. Further, it was also told that colleges should not be allowed for recruitment of less than 25% seats in the Universities of the state. The rules will be implemented strictly this time.
