Lucknow: A lineman in UP's Lakhimpur Kheri district died after being harassed by JE. Before he died, the lineman said in his statement that Nagendra Kumar, who will be posted in the electricity department, used to talk about sending his wife to him in return for his transfer, due to which he got fed up with it, he poured petrol on himself and set him on fire. In fact, lineman Gokul Prasad, who lives in an electricity sub-station in a town under the Palia police station area, fed up with the torture of JE Nagendra Kumar, poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire. Fed up with the transfers being done several times in the last three years by the officials of the electricity department, lineman Gokul Prasad poured petrol on himself outside the Palia power sub-station office and set himself on fire.

Due to this, the people present on the spot did not save Gokul Prasad, but later after receiving the news of the incident, the family members who arrived after receiving the news of the incident brought Gokul Prasad, who was burnt in the fire, to the district hospital for treatment. After being referred from here, he was taken to Lucknow, where he died during treatment. The deceased lineman Gokul Prasad, in his statement before his death, said that Nagendra Kumar, who is posted in the electricity department, used to talk about sending his wife to him in return for his transfer, due to which he has poured petrol on himself and set him on fire.  

Talking to reporters, the wife of deceased lineman Gokul Prasad, Rajkumari said that for the last three years, her husband was transferred by the department people from the department somewhere Mahngapur, somewhere Aliganj, then sometimes Gola and when her husband told him to get his transfer done, JE Nagendra Kumar, who was posted in the electricity department, used to say that first bring your wife to us and put her to sleep with us. We will transfer. Considering the seriousness of the matter, Lakhimpur Kheri District Collector Mahendra Bahadur Singh has dismissed Je Nagendra Kumar, posted in the electricity department, with immediate effect and said that a complaint has been received. The family members of deceased lineman Gokul Prasad have given a written complaint to the police against JE and other employees late in the night.
