NEW DELHI: Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, said on Tuesday that India is being discussed globally, calling on the youth of the country to take key roles in the nation's development over the next 25 years. 

Irani, a member of parliament from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, claimed that progress is being made in all spheres, including businesses, sports, and industries. The Union Minister also discussed the solid foundation upon which India will commemorate its 100th year of freedom.

She said that India has the third-largest ecosystem in the world, demonstrating how today's youth are building the groundwork for entrepreneurship. "The youth of today will raise the Amritkaal flag to commemorate the country's 100th anniversary of independence. With more than 1,000 startups in more than 650 districts and more than 100 unicorn startups with a combined value of more than Rs 330 billion, India has the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world "Smriti Irani described the startups as proof of the success of India's young people in the world of entrepreneurship.

She said that the national government, which is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aspires to create a skilled and rich country. After 100 years of Indian independence, "this Amrit generation will lead the way to inspire and guide the following generations," she said.

Smriti Irani emphasised the importance of education, saying that it is the only tool that can empower young people to work for their personal well-being as well as the welfare of society.

In addition, she said in her remarks to the media in the nation's capital that the New Education Policy by the Center is evidence of the diversity of the nation's cultures.

The Union Minister for Women and Child Development said, "The New Education Policy embracing the Right to Education with more than 60 IITs and IIMs, and medical colleges, here, is a proof indicating our devotion for the protection of educational rights, whether it is in terms of Gender Inclusion Fund, Science and Technology, or Medical Education."

She discussed the nation's achievements at the Tokyo Olympics, where Neeraj Chopra won India's first individual athletics goal and the Paralympic team captured a record 19 medals.
