TMC spokesperson Riju Dutta wrote, "Is saffron color BJP's personal property? Who has given them the right to do this? If they are abusing women like Deepika Padukone for wearing clothes of her choice in saffron, then they should also see that their Union Minister wore a saffron bikini in 1998.'' Dutta further wrote, ''TMC has no objection to what Smriti Irani will wear, it is her right.
