Amethi: Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles Smriti Irani arrived at Thorn village under her constituency Of Salon Assembly constituency of Amethi on Saturday on a one-day visit. During this time, she listened to the sufferings of the people by putting Chaupal under her doorstep programme. Irani set up Chaupal at the former secondary school of Vikas Khand Chhatoh Thorn. Smriti Irani heard people's problems and instructed the responsible authorities to immediately redress.
During this time, Irani also planted saplings in the school. Irani then went to Kathura village of Jagdishpur Assembly. Here she worshipped the land for the state girl college. "Even two months ago, I have not become an MP and projects worth Rs 50 crore have been worked out. Earlier, projects worth Rs 34 crore were laid and launched at Tiloi. Today, the foundation stone of the Rs 18-crore project has been laid and unveiled.
