The impact of the upcoming elections in West Bengal has been quite good. There are reports almost every day of one or another Bengali star joining a political party. On the one hand, stars like Dipankar Dey, Sourav Das, Kaushani Mukherjee, Pia Sengupta, Bharat Kal have joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC). On the other hand, stars like Rudranil Ghosh, Yash Dasgupta, Papia Adhikari, Soumili Biswas, Sharmila Bhattacharya and many joined the BJP on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Hiran Chatterjee announced his intention to join the BJP. There was also a news that actress Sohini Sarkar is going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Recently, the actress clarifies this and answered all the questions in a video message on Facebook.
Sohini uploaded the video on Wednesday night and said that she got tired in Saraswati Puja. That's why she fell asleep. When she woke up, she saw rumours of her joining the BJP is spreading on social media and various comments had been made about it. Sohini also said in a video message that she is not joining the BJP. She has no desire to even enter in politics. She can act so wants to entertain people by doing that.
