However, till now outsiders were not allowed to come. Devotees are not allowed to come to Haridwar on Baisakhi, Guru Purnima etc. On Mahashivaratri, Jalabhishek was also banned in Pagoda. There is a ban on Somavati Amavasya bath on Monday. For this, the administration has sealed all the routes that connect Uttarakhand with UP, including the borders of Narsan, Bhagwanpur, Kanpur.

During the lockdown on Sunday, the police checked intensively at Mandawar and Kali River police check posts of Bhagwanpur. There were long queues of vehicles on the border. Police returned the vehicles that wanted to come to Haridwar instead of medical or other necessary reasons. Vehicles were given entry only after intensive checking at the Narsan and Kanpur borders. According to police officials, more than a thousand vehicles were returned from all three borders on Sunday. For some time in the afternoon, people were given some relaxation for unannounced bone immersion.
