Korba: An incident of murder of his mother and elder sister by a man in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh has come to light on Friday. Police, who rushed to the spot after receiving information, inspected the spot and sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem. Police officials said the accused's son has been arrested. His age is 19 years. Police said the cause of the murder is not yet clear and the incident is being investigated.  

Darri City Superintendent of Police Litesh Singh said Aman Das stabbed his mother Laxmi (44) and her sister Aanchal (21) to death in the bathroom of their house in Adarsh Nagar Colony of SECL under Kusmunda police station area. Superintendent of Police, Dari town, Litesh Singh said that the case pertains to Adarsh Nagar Colony of South Eastern Coalfield Limited (SECL) of Kusmunda police station area in Korba district. The incident took place around 11 am on Friday when the homeowner, R K Das, had gone to work.  

Darri city Superintendent of Police Litesh Singh said that the neighbours nearby noticed that the main entrance to the house of R K Das, an employee of SECL, was open for the past several hours, but there was no movement in the house. Then, when the neighbours went inside, they saw that the woman and her daughter were lying in a blood-soaked position inside the bathroom. He then informed the homeowner R K Das and the police. On receiving the news of the double murder, the police along with the forensic team and dog squad rushed to the spot and searched the spot. Superintendent of Police, Darri town, Litesh Singh said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem after investigation. The case is being investigated by the police.
