Heinous crimes against women have shaken the entire nation at this time. There are reports of misdeeds and atrocities coming from different parts. Singer Sona Mahapatra has raised an important issue amid these reports, which is directly related to children. Sona has written a note raising questions about the mindset of getting children to perform on stage on unhealthy or inappropriate songs. Sona took the initiative to stop the girl from performing on a similar song in one of her concerts. He has also written notes to parents about this.
Addressing the parents, Sona wrote a note. She captioned it as, “While India outrages about how we treat women & more so when we are subjected to extreme acts, let’s take some time to think about how we treat our children, what we teach them & what environment they are growing up in. THIS happened for the nth time in one of my concert stages.”
She wrote, "Dear parents, understand that a concert stage is earned by years of great effort and dedication. Sending your children to the stage without the singer's permission or under the supervision of an elder, where there are so many cables, is not only humiliating, but also dangerous. Most important is to understand its context. It is unfair and cheap to dance a small girl to songs like Banno Tera Swagger Lage Sexy and Badardi Raja.
