Neerja featured Sonam Kapoor ,who got all accolades for her role in the Ram Madhbani’s biopic,now hinted at working once again in a woman centric film. In Neerja, Sonam performed the life of slain flight attendant Neerja Bhanot who died saving hundreds of passenger from hijackers.

Sonam said, "I will announce something soon. I can't talk about it."

The 'Raanjhana' actress added , "You see it. Hopefully I would like to play something like that." Sonam was talking at the  event 'Women of Worth Awards'.

Sonam, 30 on the occasion acknowledged the active role of many Indian women who helped but lamented that unknown heroes like Neerja Bhanot got lost in history. She replied "There are lot of Indian woman who have been modern heroes who have helped in building a better India. There are lot of Indian women in the history you look at like Mother Teresa, Sarojini Naidu, Lata Mangeshkar and others”.

Anil’s princess added, "There are women who got lost in the page of history like Neerja Bhanot and it is sad. There is a wider variety of women that we are looking at and the more innovative things that they are doing which are cultural and scientific breakthroughs and artistic as well,"
