New Delhi: Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi participated in the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in Delhi on Saturday and walked with Rahul Gandhi for a short distance. Due to this, his mother Sonia Gandhi showed love for her son Rahul Gandhi very much by hugging him. Photo of Sonia Gandhi's emotional moments with her son is viral on social media. This is the second time that former party president Sonia Gandhi has participated in this padyatra that began in Kanyakumari in September. She had earlier participated in the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in Karnataka in October.
In the morning, Sonia Gandhi strolled for a few minutes with her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wearing a face mask before reaching Ashram Chowk here for rest. 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' entered Delhi from Haryana on Saturday morning and was warmly welcomed by party leaders and workers at the Badarpur border. Traffic jams have been reported from some parts of Delhi during the yatra. This padyatra will stop near the Red Fort in the evening.
Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the country's capital Delhi on the 108th day on Saturday. Bharat Jodo Yatra reached Ashram Chowk around 10.30 am. Thereafter, the yatra will reach Red Fort at 4.30 pm. Congress leader and former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh has said that his party is following all the protocols issued by the government.
