New Delhi: The first day of question-and-answer has been completed after less than two hours of questioning of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on July 21. Sonia will not be questioned again today due to health reasons and age. It is being told that the Congress supremo may be questioned again on July 25. At present, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has not issued any fresh summons.

Earlier, Sonia Gandhi had reached the ED office in the morning for questioning in the National Herald case. She was accompanied by her daughter and Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi had taken medicines with her. Priyanka and Sonia Gandhi were present in the same room during the interrogation. Sources said Sonia Gandhi is being interrogated by a team of women officer Monica Sharma. She is posted as Additional Director in ED. An ambulance was also arranged in the office in view of the health of 75-year-old Sonia Gandhi. Priyanka Gandhi was also allowed to stay in the office due to the health reasons of Sonia Gandhi.

ED sources said that after nearly two hours of questioning, the investigating agency officials asked Sonia Gandhi if she wanted to take a break. In response, Sonia Gandhi said that yes she wants to have lunch. After this, Sonia Gandhi's side was asked whether today's interrogation can be completed soon. On this, the investigating agency officials agreed. The ED officials, however, told Sonia Gandhi that she may be summoned again on July 25.
