Sitamarhi: A shocking incident is coming to the fore from Sitamarhi district of Bihar where father-in-law and brother-in-law sprinkled petrol and burnt the son-in-law alive in Jagdar village of Parihar police station area. The severely scorched son-in-law died late on Sunday night at a private hospital in Sitamarhi due to treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Rajkumar alias Vijay Kumar (30 years), son of Achhedhar Sah, resident of Purandaha Rajwada ward 11 of Sonbarsa police station area. The relatives reached the Sadar Hospital on Monday to conduct the post-mortem. The city police station has taken the statement of the father. City SHO Rakesh Kumar told that the case has been sent to the Parihar police station for further action. In the statement given to the police by father Achhedhar Sah, his father-in-law Jainarayan Sah, his son Sanjay Sah and Sanjay's wife Rekha Devi, a resident of Jagdar in Parihar police station area, have been made criminals in the murder of his son. According to the father, for 3 years his son was living with his family in his in-laws' house by taking a room on rent. A few days ago brother-in-law Sanjay had asked for two lakh rupees in the name of doing business.
When Rajkumar did not give the money, Sanjay asked him to vacate the house. On 30 November the prince came home with his wife. On December 2 (on Friday), he had gone to his in-laws' house to bring essentials. It is alleged that the same night the criminals sprinkled petrol and set it on fire. Due to this, he got seriously burnt. The father told that on Saturday morning, he was informed by calling the son's in-laws that his son was burnt due to fire. Thereafter, he reached the hospital and saw that his son's condition was serious. In the hospital, his son informed about the father-in-law, brother-in-law, and his wife set him on fire for not giving the money.
