Indian Idol 12, one of the most popular singing reality shows in the country, has seen a lot of controversy for some time now. In fact, a special episode was held in honour of legendary singer Kishore Kumar in which his son Amit Kumar came as a guest. The contestants and judges on the show also sang kishore da's songs and Amit praised them. But the fans didn't like it. When Amit Kumar was criticised, he made some statements against the show from where controversy started.
Singer Sonu Nigam is also reacting to it now. Sonu Nigam said during the discussion that 'Sob Stories' is making an impact. This is rarely seen in reality shows. But I sincerely believe that it works. It's like a marketing. But people are not stupid. Their heart is in the right place. There are many singing reality shows where there are extremely talented contestants."
Let us tell you that, Sonu Nigam himself has judged many big shows. He has played the role of a judge in several reality shows including Indian Idol 12, X-Factor India, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Talking about the contestants, he said that they are doing well. He is also getting good viewership. The singers are also good. When asked if he would like to be seen as a judge again, the singer said, "If I feel like I am contributing and I have an offer, why not. I can also appear again in reality shows. If I feel that I am not able to fit as a judge in a show, I will definitely back down."
