New Delhi: Sonu Punjaban, who has been called the 'Queen' of sex trader in Delhi and has been operating the biggest sex racket, has been convicted in a case for the first time. Geeta Arora aka Sonu Panjaban has been convicted in a case by Delhi's Dwarka court. Although, in addition to Delhi-NCR, Sonu has cases registered on charges of prostitution in many states of the country, but in some cases he has been convicted for the first time.
The court has held Sonu and his accomplice guilty for the 12-year-old girl's extortion, rape and forcibly pushing her into the business of prostitution. The case is of the year 2009. A twelve-year-old girl was Kidnnaped in Harsh Vihar area of Delhi and later she somehow reached Najafgarh police station. The girl told the police about the whole incident. According to the victim, in 2006, while she was studying in the sixth grade, she befriended a young man named Sandeep. In 2009, Sandeep took her to an area of Delhi promising to marry her and raped her. Sandeep sold the girl to different people 10 times.
After this, the child was handed over to Sonu Punjaban. Sonu forcibly pushed the girl into the business of prostitution. During this time, the child was injected with drugs. Apart from Delhi, the girl was also sent to Haryana and Punjab. Later, a man named Satpal forcefully married the girl, but the girl somehow escaped from her clutches and reached the Najafgarh police station. The investigation of this case was handed over to the Delhi Police Crime Branch. In the investigation, the team of Crime Branch DCP Bhishma Singh arrested Sonu Punjaban and Sandeep. Now the court has convicted both in the rape and other serious sections.
