New Delhi: BJP has announced to take to the streets against the fixed charge of increased power during the epidemic. In front of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission Malviya Nagar, BJP has announced to protest on Friday. There will be 50 BJP workers gathered here. This protest will be held in 70 assemblies of Delhi. There will be 25 workers demonstrating in each assembly constituency.

Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has said that the fix charge should be linked with consumption. When electricity is not used in lockdown then what is the meaning of the charge. He said that like Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi government should also be exempted. Vijendra Yadav, deputy chairman of the North Delhi Standing Committee, has said that there are micro industries in Bawana which are smaller than MSME. Without government exemption, factories are being hit by tax from all around. First the lockdown then the workers left and now the fixed charge has brought the business to its knees.

Entrepreneur Tajinder Singh said that Mazdoor is very important for the industry. They also feel that Mazdur is not going to return for 6 months now. In such a situation, without the government concession, the factory owners are forced to face tax. Businessmen have to pay fixation charge of maintenance tax, water tax, sewer tax, lease commercial house tax, NDPL in Bawana.
