Sony has launched its 30th anniversary celebrations for the PlayStation, and it appears the festivities have inadvertently revealed the design of the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5). In a recent blog post celebrating the milestone, Sony shared an image marking the anniversary. Keen-eyed gaming fans quickly noticed an unusual design in the image that resembles the PS5, hinting at what could be the new PS5 Pro.

Sony has also hinted at the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro, a more powerful version of its popular PlayStation 5 console, as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations. The company’s anniversary blog post included an intriguing image showing two PS5 consoles: the familiar model and a new design that has sparked speculation about the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Fans quickly noticed that the social media teaser only featured the standard PS5, while the blog image introduced a new console design, leading to increased excitement about the Pro version. The key difference between the two models is in their design: the standard PS5 has a single stripe on its side panels, while the new console, presumed to be the PS5 Pro, features three stripes, hinting at a fresh addition to the PlayStation lineup.

Leaks suggest that the PS5 Pro will offer a significant upgrade, aiming to deliver a true 4K gaming experience at 60 frames per second. While the current PS5 struggles with this level of performance, the new console is expected to include a more powerful GPU to enhance graphics. The CPU may see only a modest increase in speed, likely reaching around 3.85 GHz—about 10% faster than the current model.

Known internally as ‘Trinity,’ the PS5 Pro is rumored to be released later this year, promising to elevate the standards of console gaming with its advanced features and updated design.
