Recently, in a conversation with a website, Akshay said, "Sooryavanshi does not see the world in the mirror of any one religion. I do not believe in any religion. I believe in being Indian only and the film is also about this. The idea of the film is to be Indian, not Hindu, Zoroastrian or Muslim. We have not seen it in the context of any religion."
