Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria’s much-awaited movie  Student of The Year 2 has released on Friday.  The film opened up to mixed reviews from the audience as well as the critics. On its first day, Student of The Year 2 made a collection of Rs 11.75 crores approx at the domestic box office. On its second day, Saturday, this Tiger, Ananya and Tara starrer earned Rs 13.50 crores approx. Thus, the total collection of the film is now Rs 25.25 crores approx, reports Box Office India.

According to the report of BOI,  the film's collection should go up on Sunday as it is doing well at the multiplex. The portal reports that the film should earn Rs 40 crore nett in a week. Along with SOTY 2, Ryan Reynolds' Detective Pikachu has also hit the screens which have received positive reviews.

The film marks Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria's debut in the film industry. It's a sequel to Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra's Student of The Year (2012). The first part was helmed by Karan Johar and the sequel is directed by Punit Malhotra.  Directed by Punit D Malhotra, Student of the Year 2 also has a special appearance by Hollywood star Will Smith.
