After watching this Indian film sound designer, sound editor and audio mixer Resul Pookutty has expressed his pain. He said, "Ask me about it. I was close to breaking up because after winning the Oscars I stopped working in Hindi and regional cinema. A production house said on my face," We don't need you but I still love my industry."

In the past, AR Rahman said in an interview to Radio Mirchi that 'Some people in the industry are spreading false rumours about him, due to which misunderstandings are happening between him and the filmmakers". During that time he said, "I don't refuse good films, but I think there is a gang who is spreading rumours. When Mukesh Chhabra came to me, I gave him four songs in two days.
