London: Hosts South Africa have snatched the victories in the first T20 match. Africa beat England by one run in this very exciting match played on Thursday. England needed just seven runs in the final over to win and had four wickets left. Even after that, they remained one run away from the goal. With this victory, South Africa took a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20 series.

The hero of this victory of South Africa was fast bowler Lungi Ngidi. He gave 30 runs in the spell of 4 overs and took the most three wickets. Angidi snatched victory in the last over from England. He got Tom Curren (2) caught out by David Miller on the second ball of this over. Then on the fifth ball Moin Ali (5) was bowled clean and sent to the pavilion. Now England needed three runs on the last ball. Angidi allowed him to score only one run. In this way South Africa won the match by one run.

Earlier, England won the toss on Wednesday and invited South Africa to bat first. South Africa scored 177 runs for eight wickets in the prescribed 20 overs and then Africa stopped England for 176 runs for nine wickets. South Africa has won by one run for the third time in T20 cricket, while England have lost by one run for the first time.
