South Central Railway Cancels 34 Trains in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: On Sunday, the South Central Railway (SCR) announced the cancellation of 34 trains in Hyderabad. The cancellation is believed to be the result of operational and maintenance issues.

There have been nine cancellations between Lingampalli and Hyderabad, as well as nine cancellations between Hyderabad and Lingampalli.  Seven services between Falaknuma and Lingampalli, as well as seven services between Lingampalli and Falaknuma, have been cancelled by the authorities. One service between Secunderabad and Lingampalli has been cancelled, as has another between Secunderabad and Lingampalli. 

The Hyderabad-Secunderabad Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and the surrounding areas. Intra-city and suburban commuters can take advantage of the popular suburban trains.

Meanwhile, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has declared that, due to the cancellation of MMTS services, it will operate additional bus services in the Greater Hyderabad region to alleviate the passenger rush.

There will be 22 bus services between Kesavagiri and Borabanda, 54 between Secunderabad and Hitec City, 16 between Secunderabad and Borabanda, 108 between CBS and Patancheru, and 84 between Secunderabad and Patancheru, according to an official.
