South film star Pawnraj passed away, filmmaker Ponram mourns

Pawnraj took his last breath on May 15 following a massive heart attack. Many of the celebs died due to COVID-19 complications or heart attack. Lately, the actor Pawnraj demise is yet another shocking news to the South film industry.

As per the reports, one of his close friends and Kollywood director Ponram shared the news of Pawnraj demise. The friend took it to social media and shared a tweet. The tweet was in his local language which translates to, “#RIPPawnraj My co-director Paunraj, who acted in films like Unrepentant Youth Association Rajinimurugan, has died in a heart attack.” Bit being just an actor Pawnraj was also co-director for Ponraman Perumal, known professionally as Ponram. The last work of Pawnraj was as a co-director for Vijay Sethupathi’s cop film. The project remains untitled spearheaded by director Ponram.

Talking about his career, Pawnraj rose to fame after he appeared in Sivakarthikeyan, Soori and Keerthy Suresh starrer Rajinimurugan. He is also known for his work in films like Sivakarthikeyan’s Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Seema Raja.
