Recruitment by the Southern Railway in 2022: The Southern Railways is accepting applications for positions as apprentices in the designated trades at various Divisions, Workshops, and Units under its purview. Candidates must reside in one of the following locations or regions that are solely under Southern Railway's control geographically.
Apply online at sr.indianrailways.gov.in if you are eligible. The application deadline is October 31. Candidates must be at least 15 years old and not older than 22 or 24 years old, depending on whether they are freshmen, ex-ITIs, or MLTs.
A merit list created for each eligible applicant who submits an application in response to the notification will be used to make the selection. If two candidates receive the same score, the older candidate will be given preference. If the candidates' dates of birth are identical, the candidate who has previously passed the matriculation exam will be taken into consideration.
The organization will fill 1343 positions as a result of this hiring drive, of which 110 will go to freshmen and 1233 to former IT professionals.
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, candidates who have been chosen for training will not be permitted to discontinue. The candidates must sign an apprenticeship contract prior to the start of the training.
