Samajwadi Party MP Naresh Agarwal made a statement controversy on Wednesday by saying that if alleged spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was a terrorist then he would be treated as such in Pakistan.

"If Pakistan has announced Kulbhushan Jadhav as a terrorist in their country, then they will also treat him like one. In our country also, we should also treat terrorists in a similar manner. Terrorists have to be dealt strictly,"

He also wondered why country's media was only talking about Kulbhushan Jadhav when there were many others who were languishing in Pakistani jails.

Meanwhile, there has been an outshout over the treatment meted out to Jadhav's mother and wife who reached Islamabad on Monday to meet Jadhav.

There has been the constant attempt from the Indian government to gain consular approach to him, only to go in vain each time. Even so, sooner this month, Pakistan said yes to aid the visit of  Kulbhushan Jadhav family and also make them secure about their safety, security, and freedom of movement in the nation. Subsequently, on December 20, Pakistan issued visas to Jadhav's mother and wife to meet him on humanitarian grounds. While his friends see this as a positive step, they say the visit will be an important one, as it will reveal details about his physical and mental condition.

After the meeting, Jadhav's mother and wife were also harassed in heavily guarded foreign ministry office by Pakistani journalists
