Lucknow: Shafiqur Rahman, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP from Sambhal Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh, who is often in controversies about his statements, has again given an objectionable statement regarding the veil of girls. They say that if the girls roam unmasked, then the vagrancy will increase. He said, “The removal of the hijab worsens the situation and increases promiscuity. If hijab is banned, then not only Islam but society will also suffer. We hope that the Supreme Court will take the right decision in this matter. Along with this, he has accused the BJP of spoiling the atmosphere.

The apex court on Thursday delivered a split verdict on petitions challenging the Karnataka High Court's decision refusing to lift the ban on wearing hijab in schools and colleges in Karnataka. Justice Hemant Gupta dismissed the petitions filed against the High Court's decision, i.e. favoured the hijab ban, while Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia called wearing the hijab religious freedom. While pronouncing the verdict, Justice Gupta said, 'There are differences of opinion in this matter.' In view of the fractured judgment, the Bench directed that these petitions challenging the High Court's decision be placed before the Chief Justice (CJI) for constitution of a larger Bench.

Let us tell you that earlier, on the occasion of World Population Day, MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke said that children are not human, but nature creates.
