Lockdown will extend for last time in Spain due to badly affected by Corona

Madrid : The countrywide high alert (lockdown) in Spain, badly affected by the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19), spread across the world from Wuhan city of China, will be extended for 15 days for the last time. Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez made the announcement on Sunday after consulting with the provincial chiefs.

PM Pedro Sanchez while addressing a press conference said, "I have told the heads of autonomous communities that we will extend the period of high alert (lockdown) for 15 days". PM Pedro Sanchez said that the lockdown period is being extended for the last time and the regional governments will start functioning. But the power to set rules of movement in the country will remain with the central government of Spain.

According to the latest data released by the Center for Science and Engineering (CSSE) of John Hopkins University of America, so far 2,39,228 cases of corona infection have been confirmed in Spain, while 27,127 people have died due to this epidemic. On 11 March the Coronavirus (Covid-19) was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).
